Professional experience
Graduate Student Researcher
Northwestern University, Kimchi Lab
I am refining wearable clinical EEG hardware intended for patient monitoring. My work includes encapsulation design, electrode positioning, prototyping and investigating ways to make scalp contact and placement more reliable.

Research and Scientific Aide
Liu-CoMotion Lab, University of Illinois Chicago
Led design and evaluation work on novel EEG electrode attachments for Type IV Afro textured hairstyles. I designed CAD models, used SLA resin printing, prepared and collected EEG data, tested impedance and contact, and contributed to neurophysiological signal preprocessing. I also supported gait and mobility studies integrating 32 channel EEG with IMUs and instrumented insoles.

Clinical Immersion Intern
UIC, NIH R25EB018239 Clinical Immersion Program
Observed ophthalmology clinic workflows and diagnostic procedures, including tear testing and scleral lens care. I documented unmet needs affecting comfort, measurement reliability and clinic efficiency, and explored device concepts and feasibility within clinical and regulatory constraints.
